| Resource Solutions Group is seeking Trade Ally Outreach Manager candidates in our Chicago office. The Outreach Manager will be directly responsible for the overall administration and success of RSGs Midwest Residential and Commercial programs Trade Ally outreach efforts under the guidance of the Midwest Director. Success in this position will result in increased awareness and adoption of targeted energy efficient technologies, strategic market development, customer satisfaction, and delivering on client goals related to outreach activity and energy savings while staying within designated program budgets and allocated resources. Trade Allies include manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and retailers of residential and commercial energy and water efficiency products, such as HVAC, Water Heating, Lighting, and other electric and natural gas saving equipment. |
Duties: |
The essential responsibilities and duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop strategic direction and oversee outreach activities for trade ally outreach efforts
Develop annual trade ally outreach plans and budget, set goals, track goals related to outreach activities
Develop promotions and programs that will help further the reach of targeted measures in the market
Evaluate trade ally satisfaction, identifying improvements and implementing changes to expand outreach activities reach
Interface with other programs teams to assure integration of activities across market sectors
Track and communicate progress towards goals and adjust outreach plans as required
Manage and conduct program outreach and communications to key stakeholders
Develop outreach plans to increase program awareness and increase trade ally participation
Work closely with program staff and marketing teams to develop comprehensive marketing plans that identify program materials, outreach promotions and resources needed to meet energy savings goals
Coordinate with external program stakeholders to identify potential program partners and develop relationships that benefit the program and represent clients and RSG at local and regional conferences and events
Work with program administrator to set goals and develop metrics for outreach activities of the staff
Coordinate outreach to key customer end-user segments
Supervise outreach staff to identify and prioritize key trade allies and monitor account management
Provide appropriate level of training to new outreach staff, provide on-going feedback to outreach team regarding expectations and performance
Address and resolve any performance concerns and issues in a timely manner and work with outreach team to identify and develop annual goals and career development targets
Prepare and conduct annual performance reviews for outreach staff

Self-motivated, able to set and achieve own work priorities with limited day-to-day guidance from Director
Superior public speaking and presentation skills, verbal and written communications skills
Ability to communicate complex ideas in appropriate format for audience
Supervise direct reports and a team of up to 10-15 full-time trade ally outreach associates
Proficiency in MS Office, SalesForce experience a plus
Efficient time management and organizational skills
Education/Experience
B.S. or B.A. mandatory - energy, environment, public policy, or technical field desired
Positions available for candidates with 5-7 years professional experience with electric and gas utilities market, energy efficiency programs or marketing required
Technical expertise with commercial or residential equipment and technologies preferred
Previous utility or energy efficiency experience preferred
