JOB DESCRIPTION: The Senior Systems Architect will be responsible for the architecture, design, administration, and documentation of the corporate server, desktop, email, SAN, network, security, and telephone systems infrastructures for a team that operates 24x7x365. The Senior Systems Architect will oversee the safeguarding of company assets, intellectual property and computer systems, as well as their physical safety from employees and others.

Duties:


• Provide hardware for each new employee as well as I.S. systems training
• Research and implement industry standards/best practices in accordance to HIPAA/HITECH guidelines
• Develop and implement global policy, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security and systems
• Work closely with all other teams to design appropriate solutions for all initiatives
• Day-to-day workstation support

Ideal candidates would possess the following qualifications:

• 5-7 years advanced systems infrastructure architecture, implementation and administration in a medium or large enterprise Active Directory environment
• Strong real world experience in advanced architectural design, setup, configuration, administration, documentation, and troubleshooting of the following systems:
• VMware vCenter/vSphere virtual server infrastructures
• Enterprise-class Storage Area Networks (e.g. EMC CLARiiON or HP EVA-series) along with the attached Microsoft Windows-clustered servers and applications
• Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp Virtual Desktop Infrastructures
• Windows Server 2003/2008 R2 and Redhat Linux Enterprise Server 5.x or higher operating systems on HP ProLiant DL and BL-series server hardware
• Microsoft Exchange Server Enterprise
• Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2
• System and network monitoring applications (Solarwinds, IPMonitor, SiteScope, HP Insight Manager)
• Desktop/Server imaging applications (Symantec Ghost, etc.)
• Firewall failover configuration and rule implementation in a multi-layered DMZ environment
• Cisco Unified Communications Manager VoIP solutions
• Cisco Catalyst Routers (IOS 12.x)and switches, MPLS, QoS, VLAN, and BGPv4 concepts and technologies
• Dell desktop and laptop hardware and software setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Should have experience with business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiation
• Strong project management skills – ability to manage several projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality
• An uncompromising commitment to quality and a passion for health care

DESIRED SKILLS:
• Certification in Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, and/or VMware technologies (MCM/MCA, CCNP/CCVP, CCEA/CCEE, VCAP/VCDX, etc.)
• Experience in health care industry
