| THE OPPORTUNITY: The Real Estate Analyst will report directly to the Director, Commercial Mortgage Investments, and have primary responsibility of reviewing, underwriting, recommending, negotiating and closing commercial mortgage loan investment opportunities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - BS/BA degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent relevant work experience
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate to include the following:
- Underwriting commercial real estate with demonstrated knowledge of financial analysis, asset management, and the real estate valuation process
- Loan portfolio management including property inspections, ongoing loan and property analyses and portfolio monitoring
- Loan originations and managing relationships with correspondents
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of commercial mortgages including loan transactions and pre- and post-close documentation
- Demonstrate current in-depth knowledge of lending practices, market conditions and trends as related to mortgage loan and real estate investments.
- Professional writing and presentation skills
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Identify, develop, and maintain relationship with correspondents and brokers for the purpose of securing investment opportunities commensurate with the investment goals of the Company
- Review, recommend negotiate and close real estate investment opportunities
- Perform duties associated with mortgage loan portfolio management and real estate equity asset management. .
- Travel regularly to evaluate markets and perform property inspections
