Description: |
| The programmer will perform under general supervision. Day-to-day activities may consist of requirements gathering, requirements analysis, systems and applications design, testing and validation, benchmarking, code implementation, and research. The programmer will apply knowledge of programming languages and will perform duties as assigned by supervisors. |
Duties: |
| Primary Responsibilities: Perform related coding, testing, and documentation of given application and/or system designs. Participate in the design and development of applications and systems. Determine the effort and time that will be required to resolve assigned tasks and design requirements. Provide direction to other team members as required to facilitate task accomplishment. |
Qualifications: |
WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Seven (7) years of experience and a Master’s of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science or associated field from an accredited university or college – or – eleven (11) years of experience and a Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science or associated field from an accredited university or college – or – seventeen (17) years of experience.
Secret clearance or eligibility required; United States Citizen

Core Language: C
Ancillary Language(s): XML, TCL, PERL, BASH, SQL
Addition Skills: Linux Sockets, Networking, Linux Systems
Coding
- Demonstrates working knowledge of appropriate programming language.
-Understands how to properly execute basic and advanced control constructs.
-Knows the most efficient method or algorithm for solving a given problem.
-Applies logic to fundamental design issues.
-Complies with prescribed coding conventions.
-Code produced is in compliance with design given.
Documentation
-Internal – Documents code internal to a program for data/control constructs and modules/routines.
-Process – Generates comprehensible documentation for reference by other developers, engineers, etc. that complies with company standards.
-External – Produces documentation for entities outside the company (customers) that are professional.
Testing
-Performs unit testing as necessary.
-Accomplishes integration and/or validation testing when assigned.
Analysis and Design
-Generates designs which comply with requirements specifications.
-Accurately determines effort and time that will be required to resolve tasks and design requirements.
General
-Completes tasks in a timely fashion.
-Adheres to all defined guidelines and procedures in performance of duties.
-Represents EADS NA DS3 at customer meetings as required.
-Presents clear, comprehensive recommendations for decision-making.
-Organizes, plans, and executes tasks and projects.
